Animal Referral Hospital - Canberra Veterinary Specialists

Our two encounters with Dr. Pooja Mishra at the Animal Referral Hospital have been deeply disheartening. We had hoped for guidance and support during a challenging time, but instead, we were met with a condescending attitude that left us feeling dismissed and uncared for. During both visits, Dr. Mishra's communication lacked empathy and respect, making an already stressful situations even more challenging. Her bedside manner did not meet the standard we expected from a healthcare provider, especially when dealing with sensitive medical treatments. To make matters worse, she essentially recommended that we put our dog to sleep, offering no hope or options. Given the significant financial investment in treatments and the advice we received at this clinic, we assumed we were making the right choices for our family member. However, after only three treatments, our dog's health has taken a rapid downturn. We now believe that we have been misled and will be seeking a second opinion and treatments elsewhere. Additionally, the impression that financial gain was prioritized over our pet's well-being only added to our frustration. We believe that a pet's health and comfort should always be the primary concern. Our sincere hope is that Dr. Pooja Mishra and the Animal Referral Hospital will take this feedback to heart, reassess their approach, and ensure that all patients and their owners receive the care, respect, transparency, and guidance they deserve during challenging times.

Kind, compassionate and amazing care for our little one. We were worried about our puppy, so we brought him in late on a Saturday night. The team were beyond amazing - they took complete care of him and gave us some great follow on advice. While I hope that our puppy doesn’t need another visit, it is so comforting to know that the team at the animal referral hospital are there for us whenever we need! Highly recommend!

We were referred to ARH from our local vet with our dog who suffers from chronic vomiting - we saw Kim who has been nothing but accomodating, kind & full of knowledge, she rings as soon as she gets results & updates - She is thorough when discussing results and she answers all questions we have. After testing at ARH we have a diagnosis after over a year of no answers. We now have a treatment plan and goal & Kim has advised us to ring / contact her should we have any concerns going further. The support from Kim and the team at ARH has been above expectation. I highly recommend ARH and Kim.
